Northeast India

After many years of research and traveling to Northeast India and Myanmar, Jerusalem scholars are convinced that the Kuki tribal people are, not only Jewish but, the lost tribe of Manasseh. Called by God to preach the Gospel of Christ to his own people, Jangngam Singsit started the Berea Bible Baptist Church in the township of Keithelmanbi in Manipur, India, along the Myanmar border. Despite persecution and wars between his people and other tribes, he has won many to Christ, built a great ministry including a large Christian school, a ladies seamstress outreach, and a mission work inside Myanmar. Meitei-tribe Hindus have burned more then 350 churches in Manipur, killed countless Kukis, and continue to promote violence in many communities. Through sickness, persecution, hunger, and monsoonal flooding, Jangngam and his wife have persevered to reach souls for Christ. But recently, because of tribal violence, Brother Singsit was forced to remove his wife and children to the city of Shillong in a neighboring State, an eight hour drive to the West. At great cost, he will travel back and forth to continue his ministry and take care of his people. Please pray for Jangngam and his family's safety. Like all GLBM's workers, the Singsit family is working totally by faith and needs faith partners to give through GLBM.
