After receiving a Burmese Bible, this Buddhist high priest monk took it back to his monastery and read the Word of God for the first time. He was amazed that the Bible told how the world began. Every night in the secrecy of his monastery quarters, he read "Thama chanza," Burmese for Holy Bible. Through the Scriptures this monk believed and received Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour. As he witnessed to the other monks, he was beaten and driven from the monastery. Finding a GLBM pastor, the monk trained to serve the Lord and has become an evangelist and church planter. 

With an obvious anointing, Dr. Bob DeWitt, alias "BaGyi Bob," wrote and formatted this gospel presentation based on the testimony of the converted Buddhist monk. True Enlightenment is written to reach Southeast Asians, primarily the Burmese, and is full of Scripture. Partnering with Bible Tracts Inc of Odell, Illinois, GLBM raised the funds to print four million of these tracts booklets. One million booklets have already been distributed and thousands have been saved. Other monks have been saved and baptized. So far, the booklet is available in both the Burmese language and English.
